Talent for Governance
Where local talents unite for global development
Talent for Governance provides young, talented and motivated civil servants from developing and transitional countries with the chance to join in the Talent for Governance programme. During the programme the talents will follow a training course in the Netherlands so that they can develop their knowledge and skills in the field of local governance. The programme gives them the opportunity to meet colleagues from abroad as well as to learn from experiences in other countries. In this way, Talent for Governance not only contributes to their individual development but also invests in the sustainable and structural improvement of living conditions in their communities.
The Talent for Governance Network connects civil servants worldwide. In this online community, they can share experiences and knowledge about their work in local governance. The support and advice that civil servants give each other will help them to deal with challenges in their work and to improve local governance practices.
Talent for Governance is an initiative by The Hague Academy for Local Governance, a foundation that aims to strengthen local governance worldwide by organising practical training courses. These courses offer an opportunity to see, do and experience governance from a typically local point of view. Contributions and cases come from local governance experts from all parts of the world.
