Fama Niang

Fama Niang has expertise in human rights law, with specialisation in human rights of women, international refugee law and international migration law. With an LLM in Human Rights, Conflict and Justice, she is particularly interested in the intersection between law and development. Born in Norway and from Senegal, she is passionate about locally-led, culturally relevant approaches to development, justice and governance. Prior to joining the Academy, Fama previously worked at the ICJ, where she supported the Publishing Division’s digitization efforts, and at the UNDP Global Policy Centre for governance in Oslo, as a research and innovation intern.
