Ioannis Ampatzidis is an intern at The Hague Academy for Local Governance. He holds a bachelor’s degree in International and European studies from the University of Macedonia in Greece and recently obtained his master’s degree in International Relations with a specialization in Global Political Economy from the University of Leiden. He is particularly interested in the sustainable development of regions as well as the environmental impact of it. Prior to joining the Academy, Ioannis has worked as a Communications Officer as well as a columnist and a Chief Editor in a Greek online outlet.
