My expectations
“As head of the Local Development Unit my mission is to positively change the image of our municipality by enhancing civic participation, encouraging people to play an active role and becoming a real partner in decision making. Municipalities are the best environment to make a change in the society therefore we have to improve trust between citizens and municipalities I hope to get new ideas and knowledge about how to do this.”
Afterwards
“The training on local governance has given me a new perception of local governance and especially its social impact on the community. I learned a lot about the instruments we discussed to involve citizens in the local policy. Also, the negotiation exercises in which we practiced with discussion and dialogue were very valuable.”
