Final Conference: Promoting Integrity in Ukraine

On Tuesday 20 April from 13:00-14:30 (CET), The Hague Academy for Local Governance will organise the final conference of the programme Promoting integrity and good governance in the public sector in Ukraine.

As a former Soviet republic, Ukraine has been undergoing several reforms over the last two and a half decades, including the need for tackling corruption. Since the early 1990s, the Netherlands has been among the frontrunners in promoting public integrity. The country has focused on creating a culture of integrity in order to strengthen good governance, democracy and rule of law.

We kindly invite you to join us at this online conference to reflect on the experiences from the project. The conference will include an inspirational keynote speech on public integrity by János Bertók, Deputy Director of the Public Governance Directorate, OECD. It will also include a presentation of best integrity practices in Ukraine. Finally, a practical manual developed within the programme will be launched. The manual includes best practices and practical tools in the field of promoting public integrity and good governance, and its application within the Ukrainian context.

Short addresses will be held by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service and the Dutch Embassy in Ukraine.

Please register in advance. Prior to the event, you will receive an email with further information and the link to join.
