Alessandra is an intern at The Hague Academy. Originally from the Netherlands, she has spent most of her years abroad living in Poland, the United States, Belgium, and Denmark. As a result, she thrives in multi-cultural settings and enjoys working together with a diverse group of people. Prior to her internship, Alessandra worked as a Community Manager and studied in Denmark for 8.5 years. She holds a BSc in International Studies from Roskilde University (Denmark) and a MSc in Political Science from Copenhagen University. Throughout her studies, she focused predominantly on conflict resolution, peacebuilding, and gender issues, particularly in the regions of Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin-America.
At the Hague Academy, Alessandra supports trainings on local security and peacebuilding, inclusive public service delivery, and rule of law. Themes that align well with her interests and academic background. Alessandra looks forward to contributing to The Hague Academy’s aim to strengthen local democracy worldwide.
