Scholarship opportunities

Reduced course fees and a limited number of scholarships are available for professionals who cannot (fully) fund their own course participation.

Reduced Course Fee for ODA-Recipient Countries

Are you a professional working in local government or for a local NGO, but are not eligible for a scholarship? Professionals working in local government or for local NGOs on the DAC list of ODA-recipient countries (OECD) qualify for a 50% course fee reduction. Contact us for details.

Shiraka Training Programme (STP)

The Shiraka Training Programme (STP) is part of the Shiraka Programme, developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It supports societal development in the MENA region and consists of training courses focusing on governments’ public service delivery for citizens, involving civilians in this process. The Hague Academy develops and leads training programmes on various topics for the Shiraka programme. These programmes combine theory, practice and site visits.

Eligibility for the Shiraka training programme

  • You are a national of, and working in one of the following countries: Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestinian Territories and Tunisia.
  • You are a civil servant. 
  • You have between five and ten years of relevant work experience.

MENA Scholarship Programme (MSP)

The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs will no longer offer scholarships through the the MENA Scholarship Programme (MSP).

Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP)

The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs will no longer offer scholarships through the Orange Knowledge Programme.
