Elena develops and delivers training programmes on water management, climate resilience, and sustainability. Trained as an ecologist at Peking University in China, she holds a joint MSc in Environmental Sciences, Policy, and Management from several leading European universities.
Before joining The Hague Academy, Elena lived and worked across China, Austria, the United Kingdom, and Sri Lanka, gaining valuable insights into diverse environmental and cultural contexts. She has worked in conservation and policy analysis with the UN Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity, and her research at the International Water Management Institute deepened her passion for the connections between hydroecology, water policies, and community engagement.
Driven by a hope to make a planet a better place for all living beings, Elena enjoys bringing people together to co-create solutions for a more sustainable and resilient future.
