Jona contributes to the preparation and implementation of multiple training programmes at The Hague Academy. She comes from a small Albanian town called Berat, which inspired her passion for environmental governance, climate justice and diplomacy. Jona has a multidisciplinary background in natural and social sciences from University College Groningen, where she graduated with honours. She has participated in various projects around Human Rights and entrepreneurship and is currently involved in a girls’ empowerment project in Albania. Previously, Jona worked as a Junior Communication Officer at the Groningen Research University and completed an internship in the HR unit at the International Criminal Court. Currently, she wants to gain experience in climate financing and climate adaptation.
