Nathan Ducastel works for the Dutch Association of Local Authorities (VNG) since 2017. Since 2020, he has been the director of VNG Realisatie team, which supports Dutch municipalities in optimising information management, digital services, and implementing joint projects. Since February 2025 Nathan is the chair of the Dutch Digitalisation Council (NDS-Raad). Nathan studied political sciences at the University of Amsterdam and previously worked at the Dutch Ministry of the Interior, the consultancy PBLQ, and at IICD as programme officer, Knowledge Sharing. Regularly, he writes for Dutch media outlets about topics related to digital governance.
