Tyana is an intern at the Hague Academy for Local Governance. She did her international baccalaureate in the South of France and moved to the Netherlands to follow a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Organisations from Leiden University. She then pursued a master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Amsterdam. Her topics of interest include the rise of extreme and radical right-wing parties in Europe, transnational governance, corporate social responsibility, democracy, digitalisation and Russian-Eastern Europe politics. Her responsibilities at The Hague Academy include managing the online learning platform, supporting the communication manager, assisting in the assessment of scholarship applications and assisting in the logistics and implementation of training programmes. Tyana has volunteered for multiple humanitarian projects such as raising awareness around the working conditions of slave elephants in Sri Lanka and working for the Monaco Red Cross to facilitate the collection and transportation of necessary and primary goods for refugees in Italy. Tyana is fluent in English and French.
