Willeke supports the development and implementation of multiple training programmes in the areas of Local Economic Development, Inclusive Service Delivery, and Social Affairs and Employment. Growing up in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), she was fascinated by the different cultures and backgrounds of people. During her Bachelor’s in International Relations and International Organisations, Willeke studied for six months in Bloemfontein, South Africa, where she took courses on the history of Southern Africa. She followed a Master’s programme in International Relations with a specialisation in International Political Economy at the University of Groningen. She is currently working on different training programmes on various topics: from social affairs and employment in the MENA region to public integrity and good governance in Eastern Europe.
