Meet our Alumni Ambassadors
Karen Marriner
Karen Marriner, is the alumni ambassador for Latin America and the Caribbean. She is a specialist in development and public policy with a Master’s degree in Development Studies, has extensive experience in project management, monitoring and evaluation, social impact initiatives, and policy strenthening to enhance livelihoods for vulnerable populations.
Aleksandar Nacev
Aleksandar Nacev is the alumni ambassador for Europe and is based in North Macedonia. He is the Vice Rector for Education, European University Skopje. With a strong commitment to fostering connections, Aleksandar advocates for strengthening local and regional alumni networks to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Mwamba Mukupa
Mwamba Mukupa is the alumni ambassador for Sub-Saharan Africa. She is a Zambian Development Planner with a strong passion for sustainable rural development, which inspired her to participatation in the Local Economic Development Course at The Hague Academy for Local Governance.
Dastan Hamakareem
Dastan Hamakareem is the alumni ambassador for the Middle East and North Africa. He is a practitioner in the humanitarian and development sector in Iraq. Based in the Kurdistan Region works as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist. He completed Citizen Participation and Inclusive Governance (2023) and Gender Responsive Governance (2021) courses at The Hague Academy.
Said Achmad Kabiru Rafiie
Said Achmad is the alumni ambassador for South east Asia. He is the Secretary for the Digital Business Department at the University of Teuku Umar and co-founder of the Center for Aceh and Social Studies. With a focus on local development, he is passionate about connecting alumni and fostering youth leadership.
