Raghd Sami Ahmed Al Janabi is an Assistant Chief Engineer at the Ministry of Water Resources in Baghdad, Iraq. She works to address water crises by improving coordination and data collection, especially in areas affected by droughts and floods.
In 2024, Raghd participated in the Multilevel Water Governance course of the Talent for Governance Programme. During her internship at the Noorderzijlvest Water Board in the Netherlands, she gained insights into stakeholder engagement and robust hydrological systems.
Raghd’s Back Home Action Plan focuses on developing a hydrological data collection network in Iraq, enhancing coordination among stakeholders, and raising awareness of sustainable water management.
