Meet our Alumni Ambassadors
Karen Marriner
Karen Marriner, is the alumni ambassador for Latin America and the Caribbean. She is a specialist in development and public policy with a Master’s degree in Development Studies, has extensive experience in project management, monitoring and evaluation, social impact initiatives, and policy strenthening to enhance livelihoods for vulnerable populations.
Dastan Hamakareem
Dastan Hamakareem is the alumni ambassador for the Middle East and North Africa. He is a practitioner in the humanitarian and development sector in Iraq. Based in the Kurdistan Region works as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist. He completed Citizen Participation and Inclusive Governance (2023) and Gender Responsive Governance (2021) courses at The Hague Academy.
Said Achmad Kabiru Rafiie
Said Achmad is the alumni ambassador for South east Asia. He is the Secretary for the Digital Business Department at the University of Teuku Umar and co-founder of the Center for Aceh and Social Studies. With a focus on local development, he is passionate about connecting alumni and fostering youth leadership.
Ana Tchanturia
Ana Tchanturia is the Alumni Ambassador for Europe. She is an adviser on citizen participation and inclusive local governance at GIZ Georgia. With a background in law and public administration, she has extensive experience contributing to EU – Georgia reforms, promoting inclusive governance, and strengthening civil society, particularly at the local level.
Foluke Ademokun
Foluke Ademokun is the Alumni Ambassador for Sub-Saharan Africa. Based on Nigeria, she is a trainer on Entrepreneurship Development and Gender Equality Advocate with Monitoring and Evaluation Expertise. Currently, she serves on the Presidential High-Level Advocacy Council on Women and Girls and has received an award from the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs in Nigeria.
