How to work on conflict prevention, security and social cohesion between different groups in society.
The Hague Academy, VNG International and Flag developed a detailed and practical guidebook to help municipalities and local communities jointly address everyday safety and security concerns. It aims to provide Albanian municipal civil servants with a concrete approach to tackle local safety and security issues in a more integrated and participatory manner. The guidebook also provides national-level policymakers in this field with concrete recommendations on how to better support municipalities in promoting local safety and security.
The approach described in this guidebook was supported through the Matra project on Local Safety and Security in Albania 2017-2020, financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
