Our programme manager Freddy Sahinguvu together with Elien Rogaar from Perspectivity just finished to deliver the last training session of the first part of the Peace under Construction programme in Burundi. This programme started in 2013 and focused on four local NGO partners of Care Burundi. The organisational capacity building programmestrengthened different aspects of the four local organisations such as strategic planning, human resources planning, gender mainstreaming of projects, good governance, facilitation skills, monitoring and evaluation.
This last workshop was on gender mainstreaming of projects, self- mastery as a leadership skills and presentations skills. The training ended with presentations on the results accomplished in the three years. The final presentations of the participants showed that they have put in practice the skills acquired in the programme. A youth organisation developed a project strategy using the skills and methods of “Appreciative Inquiry” and won funding for their project proposal. We wish all the participants a lot of success with their projects.
The Hague Academy developed this training programme in partnership with Elien Rogaar from Perspectivity and CARE Burundi.
