The Gender Mainstreaming Tools training in Mozambique equipped participants with practical skills to integrate gender equality into their projects and programmes. Participants strengthened their understanding of key concepts such as sex, gender, equality, and equity, while learning how to apply gender mainstreaming principles and a gender lens in their daily work. The training emphasised the importance of gender equality in achieving inclusive and effective governance.
Participants also explored the application of gender-sensitive budgeting and gained insights into feminist monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL). Through global and local examples, they identified best practices and assessed how these approaches can be integrated into their organisations and programmes.
In addition, the training supported participants in developing a programmatic action plan to strengthen gender-sensitive project management. It also contributed to building a broader learning agenda on gender-responsive governance, ensuring long-term impact and sustainable change.
