Innovative teaching methods and learning programme design Bangladesh

The training on “Innovative teaching methods and learning programme design” took place in 2023 in the Netherlands. Four Bangladeshi civil service training institutes followed a tailor-made training in order to provide the participants with information about The Hague Academy for Local Governance as an organisation, explain our online/blended methods, THA’s adult learning method approach for all parts of the training cycle, THA’s action learning approach, institutional collaboration, and opportunities through the Orange Knowledge Programme.

The beneficiaries of the training were 13 faculty and management personnel from civil service training institutes: the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC), the Civil Service Administration Academy (BCSAA), the National Institute of Local Government (NILG), and the National Institute of Mass Communication (NIMC).The 1,5 day programme included the following sessions:

• Introduction to The Hague Academy for Local Governance
• Training institute management and quality control
• Training institute communication and marketing
• Online and blended learning methods
• The adult learning training cycle: needs analysis, training programme design, innovative training methods, action learning and follow-up.
