The Shiraka training Ecosystem for Entrepreneurs programme aims to raise awareness among civil servants in Egypt and Oman of their role in fostering an environment that encourages entrepreneurship. The programme aims to develop the knowledge and skills that help them promote a favourable business climate. By designing and implementing concrete action plans, these change agents take the first steps towards a better ecosystem for entrepreneurship in their countries.
Beneficiaries of the programme are civil servants and entrepreneurs working on entrepreneurship development. The programme consists of six phases, with the aim to design, develop and implement action plans to collectively work on building a better ecosystem for entrepreneurs.
This includes a ten-day training with expert presentations, study visits and skills exercises to relevant organisations in their participants’ home-countries; a week of training of practitioners, experts and study visits to relevant organisations in the Netherlands; intensive coaching and guidance to develop and implement action plans for six days, as well as a closing event, during which participants present their achieved milestones and calls to action for an audience of relevant stakeholders in their home countries.
