This training course, delivered in the Jordanian municipality of Zarqa in Arabic, aimed to inform employees of the municipality of Zarqa and local community actors on public service delivery instruments and citizen engagement tools, in order to promote good public service delivery and transparent and accountable city management.
The employees of the municipality of Zarqa improved their skills in communication and presentation, strategic planning and overall project management. The participants were introduced to: the concepts of public service delivery; gender mainstreaming; social accountability tools; change management and citizen participation and accountability; from the conceptual idea and scientific research, to best practices worldwide and ideas and tools for implementation on the local level.
- To deliver expertise as to support better understanding of the basic concepts and best practices on public service delivery, citizen participation and community outreach activities;
- For sustainability purposes, to provide knowledge and skills on how to deliver and design trainings, and project management techniques.
