The objective of the Training of Trainers (ToT)-programme is to improve the capacity of the SDLG-programme staff, as well as experts and implementing partners, to:
- Identify training needs at the level of local authorities, intercommunales and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs);
- Develop a Training of Trainers programme based on the needs expressed by the local authorities, intercommunales and CSOs;
- Implement Training of Trainer programmes on identified thematic areas, including inclusive adult training methods, SDGs, LNOB, and inclusive governance, conflict transformation, and lobby and advocacy;
- Provide coaching services to the trainers before, during, and after the roll-out of trainings at the level of the local authorities, intercommunales, and CSOs;
- Evaluate the impact of the training and coaching provided, as well as the satisfaction of the structures and individuals trained/coached.
The beneficiaries of the project are the SDLG Mali programme staff, experts and representatives of local authorities that are partners in the SDLG-programme. The programme uses a mixture of training modalities including face-to-face training in Bamako, Mali, online ToT sessions and distance coaching. The curriculum for the ToT focuses on inclusive and conflict-sensitive adult training methods-SDGs, LNOB, and inclusive governance, conflict analysis, and transformation, as well as lobby & advocacy.
