Training of Trainers – Peer-to-peer Coaching for Women Judges in Algeria

The Training-of-Trainers (ToT), in coordination with UNDP Algeria, peer-to-peer coaching for women judges took place in Algeria and aimed to institutionalise a peer-to-peer coaching program for 25 women judges in the country while also establishing follow-up activities.

The activities included a brief context analysis and rounds with stakeholders, followed by a 3-day face-to-face training in Algiers, and then a coaching trajectory with an expert in transformational leadership and a certified coach.  

The participants explored how to define coaching and distinguish it from mentoring, to recognise common forms of resistance and interpret resistance as useful information, and how to apply trust-building communication approaches to challenging workplace dynamics, among others.
