Ahmed Hadrawi is a Civil Engineer and Planner at the Ministry of Planning, Regional and Local Development in Baghdad, Iraq. He focuses on improving community engagement in housing and urban development, emphasizing the importance of public participation to enhance project outcomes.
In 2023, Ahmed participated in the Talent for Governance Programme hosted by The Hague Academy for Local Governance. During the Citizen Participation and Inclusive Governance course, he explored strategies for engaging communities in governance. His internship at the Municipality of Oss in the Netherlands provided practical insights into fostering community involvement in urban planning.
Ahmed’s Back Home Action Plan aims to raise awareness of public participation in Baghdad by implementing educational initiatives and encouraging community input in decision-making processes.
