Yesterday we had the honour to welcome the Minister of Interior H.E. Mr. Salameh Hammad and H.E. EU-ambassador Mr. Andrea Fontana in the closing ceremony of the training project ‘Promoting Economic Development in Jordan (PLEDJ)’. At the event, the Minister highlighted the important role that the government officials play in serving the community.
In the past two years, 80 staff members from the Ministry of Interior and the twelve governorates of Jordan were trained in Decentralisation, Local Economic Development and Urban Planning. They received their certificates today from the director of The Hague Academy. The knowledge they gained and exercises they worked on, will help them in creating an enabling environment for the development of their regions.
The project was funded by the EU to foster the decentralisation process in Jordan. It also aims to promote entrepreneurship and local initiatives to stimulate the local economy. The project was managed by The Hague Academy and implemented in cooperation with CILG -VNG International.
We offer a diversity of courses throughout the year. Here are several other courses you might like.
