The UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (UNSDSN) has recently launched the report “Getting started with the SDGs in cities”, a guide for stakeholders. This report describes what the SDGs are and how to localise them. It gives you practical tools for getting started and creating enabling conditions such as decentralised governance, integrated local governance and municipal finance.
You can download the report or, if you are interested to learn more about how local governments can contribute effectively to the SDGs, subscribe to our training course “Local Service Delivery and the SDGs“. This course takes place from 3 to 14 October 2016. Experts from o.a. UNCDF and UNESCO-IHE will explain how to effectively deliver services such as water, waste, housing and health to citizens and how to plan and finance it. For more information, click here.
