Smart Cities Indonesia 2016

The Hague Academy organized a training on Smart Cities for an Indonesian group that was mainly comprised of staff of the Technical Institute Bandung (ITB), (local) government representatives and representatives of the private sector (Telecom providers). The training took place in September 2016.

Main goal

The training course aimed to provide the participants with knowledge of the concepts, state of the art technology, and practical applications in the field of smart city concepts. 

Objectives

  • Give the participants the opportunity to jointly discuss how the lessons learnt could help Indonesian cities in applying smart solutions to improve citizens quality of life.
  • Equip the participants with knowledge and skills to design and manage smart city projects in cooperation with businesses, knowledge institutes and civil society.

Activities

A 15-day training was organised for 17 Indonesian participants.
