Tailor-made: Good Governance and Rule of Law in Fragile States

The Hague Academy participates in several long-term programmes in the field of peacebuilding, security and rule of law. We give training to local partners in Burundi, South Sudan and Palestinian territories on topics such as conflict prevention, human rights, public leadership, civil participation and youth engagement.

Together with The Hague Institute for Global Justice, we are exploring capacity needs as a basis for a research and training programme that can support fragile states in state building from the bottom up. In addition, we provide training and simulations for military and civil staff working in fragile countries on dealing with formal and informal local authorities in these countries.
